But before you get swept up in planning the perfect party, take a moment to familiarize yourself with their rental terms and refund policy. Renting with Confidence: Rent for Event’s Terms and Conditions
- Rental Period
The rental period begins on the date and time specified in the rental agreement and ends when the items are returned to Rent for Event. Extensions of the rental period must be requested in advance and are subject to availability. Late returns may incur additional charges.
- Reservation and Booking
To secure your rental, a reservation must be made either through our website, by phone, or in person at our office. A rental booking is confirmed only when a deposit or full payment is made, and a confirmation email or receipt is issued by Rent for Event.
- Payment Terms
Payments can be made via UPI, bank transfer, or cash. Full payment is required before delivery or collection of rental items. For large orders or events, a deposit may be required at the time of booking, with the balance due before delivery.
- Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals. The amount varies depending on the value and quantity of the items rented. This deposit is held to cover any damages, loss, or late return fees. It will be refunded after the equipment is returned in good condition.
Delivery and Collection
- Delivery Services
Rent for Event offers delivery and collection services within Bangalore. Delivery charges vary based on distance and the size of the order. Our rental team will deliver the items to your specified location and set them up if required.
- Customer Pickup
Customers may also choose to pick up and return rental items from our office. Please ensure you have a suitable vehicle for transporting the items. Rent for Event is not responsible for any damage incurred during transportation by the customer.
- Inspection and Acceptance
Upon delivery or pickup, it is the customer’s responsibility to inspect the rental items and ensure they are in good working condition. Any discrepancies or issues must be reported immediately to Rent for Event. By accepting the items, the customer acknowledges they are in satisfactory condition.
Usage and Care
- Proper Use
All rental items must be used solely for their intended purpose and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Any misuse or negligent handling of the rental items may result in damage charges.
- Maintenance and Cleaning
Customers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the rental items. Items must be returned in the same condition as they were received. A cleaning fee may be charged for items returned dirty or in poor condition.
- Damage and Loss
The customer is liable for any damage or loss of rental items during the rental period. The cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the security deposit. If the cost exceeds the deposit, the customer will be billed for the difference.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellation by Customer
If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible. The following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 15 days before the event: Full refund of the deposit.
- 3-15 days before the event: 50% refund of the deposit.
- Less than 3 days before the event: No refund of the deposit.
- Cancellation by Rent for Event
In the rare event that Rent for Event must cancel a reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify the customer immediately and provide a full refund of all payments made. We will also make every effort to assist in finding alternative rental solutions.
- Refund Process
Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of the cancellation. The refund will be issued using the same payment method as the original transaction. Please note that some payment methods may take longer to process the refund.
Modifications to Reservation
- Changes to Rental Items
Customers may request changes to their rental items up to 7 days before the event date. All changes are subject to availability. Additional charges may apply for upgraded or additional items.
- Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your event, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate the new date, subject to availability. If the new date is not available, the standard cancellation policy will apply.
Labour Services
The Company will provide qualified personnel to set up, operate, and dismantle the equipment. The Client must ensure a safe working environment for the Company’s personnel. Any delays or additional labour required due to unsafe conditions or changes in the scope of work will incur additional charges.
Parking
The Client is responsible for providing parking passes or reimbursing parking fees for all Rent for Event team members involved with the event rental. The following details outline the responsibilities and procedures regarding parking:
If the event venue has specific parking arrangements or designated parking areas, the Client must inform the Rent for Event team in advance and provide clear instructions regarding the location and use of these parking passes.
The Client must communicate any special parking instructions or requirements to the Rent for Event team at least 48 hours before the event. This includes information on parking restrictions, designated areas, or any logistical considerations.
The Rent for Event team will coordinate with the Client to ensure that all parking arrangements are understood and followed, minimizing any disruptions or delays during the event setup and operation.
Liability
Rent for Event is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of our rental items. Customers assume all risk and responsibility for the safety and security of the rental items and their guests.
Indemnification
Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rent for Event, its employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the use of the rental items.
